Enjoy the benefits of being a member of the Northern Rivers Cutting Horse Club Inc. We are a friendly family based club who are very welcoming to Beginners to the advanced Cutters. NRCHC is an affliate under the National Cutting Horse Association. We run monthly meetings with all club members encouraged to attened, NRCHC runs 4 to 5 championship shows a year at different locations & plans in place for 2018 to also include Grass roots events & regular practice days.
NRCHC Membership is only $30.00 per year (or $50.00 for a family) and you will be placed on our emailing list & kept up-to-date with all that is happening within the NRCHC. Likewise, membership makes you eligible for end of season hi-point awards!
*Please note the following rules with regard to our hi-point awards -
Points will be accrued in all NRCHC affiliated and unaffiliated events, for the purpose of hi-point awards, adopting the same points system used by the NCHA to tabulate Area awards. Competitors will be able to collect points at both NRCHC and Big River Cutting Club shows only. To be eligible to accrue points, a competitor or horse owner (depending on which event pertaining to) must be a financial member and must compete in the selected event at a minimum of three (3) shows, two (2) of which must be NRCHC shows, and earn at least 0.5 points. Points are allocated to riders/horses which win/place in an event only. There will be a champion and reserve champion in all classes if there are eligible riders/horses. The NRCHC points season runs from February 1st to January 31st each year. To accrue points at an event, a rider/owner must be a financial member prior to the commencement of that class at a show. There will also be one (1) improver award for a member decided upon by the sitting NRCHC committee.
*Please note the following rules with regard to Beginner Horse and Rider classes -
A rider/horse will no longer be eligible for the NRCHC Beginner Rider or Horse classes once the rider/horse has won that class on three occasions, or won an NCHA affiliated “one-handed” class. If a rider/horse becomes ineligible mid-season, the rider/horse will be allowed to compete in and accrue points in that class until the commencement of the new season.
